Microspore was founded in 2014 by Sacom S.p.A., a company that was founded in 1981 by Enrico Torzi with the aim of distributing agricultural products and that, since 1992, started its own production of fertilizers.
With the acquisition of the subsidiary ELEP S.p.A. (later named Sacom Lab), Microspore concentrated all its production on green biotechnology for agriculture, such as microorganisms and mycorrhizae.
There are three divisions of Microspore: AGRICULTURE, ENVIRONMENT and GARDEN.
The production plant and the Microbiology Centre are located in the Italian region named Molise. The company develops its projects in collaboration with National Research Council (CNR), with six different universities and also with over twenty international Centres for Trials and Certifications. The company owns a database with over 300 strains of microorganisms expertly selected from the soil with over 30 registered patents. Microspore is present in over thirty countries worldwide.
