Founded on October 23, 1963 by Father Louis Luise and 32 more immigrant farmers in the states of Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul, Copacol (Copacol) was meant to offer producers opportunities for growth region and improvement agriculture. At that time, Copacol built a plant in its first years of operation to bring electricity to residences Cafelândia.
The Copacol put in operation in 2008, one of the largest integrated complex of the country's fish, installed in Nova Aurora.
