LINKAFE sarl, a company incorporated under the Ivorian laws with its headquarters in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, functions as a central purchasing agency (central d'achats). Its role is to identify the needs of businesses in sub Saharan Africa, mainly in Ivory Coast, and then propose to them shared solutions. The needs are presented in the form of a development plan and not a mere request for the purchase or sale of products/services. During this needs identification phase, companies receive technical assistance from LINKAFE for project development activities.
From 2008, LINKAFE sarl has also explored the agricultural sector in Ivory Coast, strategically evaluated as one of potentially intense development. There are four projects underway to find new business opportunities for small farmers which support their development plans. These projects intend to take into account: cola nuts, coconuts, mangoes and pineapples.
