Our Product is Mexican white shrimp (Litopenaues vannamei). They are penaeid shrimp and its aquiculture production starts in Mexico since the beginning of 1990.
Our producers are framed with the technical implementation of procedures specification created by the producers themselves in order to produce only quality. They are pre-growth in oyster ponds during one month (20-40 shrimp per square meter) then when they weight approximate 1g they are returned to the water in june in very low density ponds representing 1 to 2 shrimp / m maximum. Launch of post-larvae occurs in May. Within weeks the shrimp weight 20g (mid-July) and 25-40 g in September to October.
Almost 1,250 tons of shrimp are exported each year:
570 tonnes in Mexico
310 tons in USA
264 tonnes in Canada
