| Congo Global Mining (CGM) is a leading DRC diversified mining and minerals company with long-life, low unit cost operations and significant growth opportunities. North Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo being awash with Gold mining and prospecting activities, a number of big Companies are on the ground prospecting for or producing gold. For example Randgold Resources is constructing a huge plant and it aims to produce first gold on an industrial scale from its Kibali project, Orientale Province by July 2013. The site reportedly has 13.9 million ounces of measured and indicated gold. Mwana Africa, another big Company has a mining license in the adjacent area covering 1,605km², etc. The Gold concession area covers an area of 2,489 square km. It is adjacent to the concessions owned by major international Companies including Ashanti Goldfields Corporation, Saudi Arabian Group, Randegold, Mwana Africa plus other American and South African Companies. |
