Automatic water spray wet-type alarm system (wet-type alarm system for short) is composed of wet-type alarm valve, delayer and hydraulic alarm bell etc. It is adopted in wet-type automatic fire extinguishing system and the suitable temperature is between 4℃ and 80℃. 2. Main Components and Function of Wet-type Alarm System
2.1 Wet-type Alarm Valve: The function of it is only to allow water flowing in a single direction and alarm in the limit flow rate. 2.2 Delayer: The function is to maximum reduce wrong alarm made by fluxion and percussion of water source. 2.3 Hydraulic Alarm Bell: When wet-type alarm valve starts, hydraulic alarm bell can phonate by hydraulic propulsion. 2.4 Pressure Switch: The function of it is when hydraulic alarm bell warns, pressure switch will connect electric contact. 2.5 Alarm Bell Valve: It’s always in the open state while standby and working and only closes when inspection, maintenance and repairment. 2.6 Alarm Bell Tester Valve: It’s used while debugging and regular inspection, maintenance or requirement and can judge system’s normal condition by open or close this valve. 2.7 Pressure Gage: It shows pressure of water source and the posterior pipe of the valve, and judges whether they are transudatory ordinally. 2.8 Draining Valve: The function of it is to drain the remained water in the posterior pipe of the valve to overhaul or change sprinkler. 3. Work Theory of Wet-type Alarm System
When there is a fire in the area protected by automatic water spray wet-type alarm system, and environment temperature rises, glass ball on the automatic sprinkler will break (fusible alloy will be fusion) and sprinkler will open and spray to put out fire. At that moment, water pressure of outlet pipeline in wet-type alarm valve drops quickly. Due to relative big pressure differences, clapper subassemblies open and water will flow into pipeline to extinguish fire. Meanwhile, water stream flows into delayer through sealed ring recess of orifice, fills it immediately and impacts alarm bell through water pressure to alarm. Then pressure switch will connect electronic contact (It can connect with control center through photic display, electronic alarm or start water pump.) 4.
