Coupling application machine (coupling make-up machine) is a dedicated machine to screw /unscrew couplings on oil casing /tubing. The machine includes main tong, back tong, power unit, control system and operating console. Main features are as follows: 1) Double-pump air-cooled power unit is adopted with stepless variable drive. Rotation speed of tong head is designed on two speed gears. 2) Torque value depends on tube size. Torque of back tong is read off torque meter. Torques &turns are read off microcomputer. 3) Variation of r.p.m is controlled by microcomputer so as to meet requirements of special threads for very low rotation (0.3--1 r.p.m.). 4) Capacity: 60 pcs of tubes per hour can be finished. 5) Teeth markings: Teeth markings are less than that stipulated in API at the condition that screwing torque is in conformity to API. 6) Applicable tube sizes range from 48.26mm (1.9) to 508mm (20). 8 types (sizes) of the machines are available.
